Snowboarding at Mt Baker in Washington, USA. These pics were snapped on my camcorder, and suffer from quality.

dsc00001 Storm clouds rolling in from Baker to Shuksan dsc00003 Hiking up towards Hemispheres dsc00005 Fracture line on the Shuksan Arm. A lot of snow had built up over the preceeding days, and then people where riding and skiing the arm - despite lots of seemingly obvious signs that the slope was unstable. In the end, the patrollers got permission to drop a bomb on it from a helicopter. The result was this. The fracture line appeared 3m (10ft) deep in places and wide - very very wide. dsc00006 John showing the size of the avalanche debris dsc00009 Mt Baker as viewed from near Table Mountain dsc00010 Mt Shuksan from out behind the arm
