dsc00001 Storm clouds rolling in from Baker to Shuksan

$dsc00005 Fracture line on the Shuksan Arm. A lot of snow had built up over the preceeding days, and then people where riding and skiing the arm - despite lots of seemingly obvious signs that the slope was unstable. In the end, the patrollers got permission to drop a bomb on it from a helicopter. The result was this. The fracture line appeared 3m (10ft) deep in places and wide - very very wide.$
