Introduction

These pages are all dedicated to the persuit of snowboarding nirvana... the untracked powder, untouched peaks, first tracks, first descents, and the ultimate ride. These pages are dedicated to Virgin Powder, where ever it may be found no matter how long it took to get there.

We could spend our lives looking for that ultimate ride, and indeed a lot of us do. However the search need not be fruitless, and can offer us searchers many delights along the way. Just getting first tracks in a standard resort, where the chairlift just dropped you off is rush in itself. It just gets better from there on.

On the left are a series of locations that have at some time offered the sweet stuff. From 10 second descents right off the chair, through 4 hour hikes into the backcountry, up to heliboarding Russia's Caucasus Mountains, and perhaps my greatest adventure yet: climbing Mt Blanc.
