1.07.02 - OK, so I want a wide board, who makes them?

It's difficult really to maintain a list of manufacturers of wide boards. Not because they change so frequently (once a year isn't bad), but just that digging around to get the dimensions of the boards isn't always easy needing time online with often the latest dumb plug-in.

Note that there are varying categories of wide board, so if something is just too narrow or too wide, then look for the next step up or down. One category is called mid-wide. These used to be called wide, and still are by some makers. These boards are in the range of 260mm. On the other end of the scale is perhaps the so-called super-wide dimensions - it's not really an official term but it could be used to cover boards of 280mm or more.

Basically it runs like this: 250mm - normal, 260mm mid-wide, 270mm wide, 280+mm super-wide. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what category your board is, just know that there are other options out there, and get the width that fits.

Additionally, some board makers don't have a specific model of a wide board, then just make a wider version of their normal board. This is often designated with a 'W' after the length, so you might see a model with a size of 162 and also a 162W.
